I wanted to let you know how pleased I am with my yoga practice after being introduced to yoga at Yoga Bliss. I had herniated a disk in my back a while ago and in the course of my physical therapy rehab the therapist had recommended that I take yoga because it would be very beneficial. I resisted taking any classes for quite a while based on the common pre-conceived notions of yoga as a bit odd and mainly for women. Instead, when I recovered, I resumed my regular schedule of running and pretty quickly felt my body starting to break down again with back pain, Achilles issues, and assorted leg muscle pulls. So as a last resort I sought out a beginners yoga class. I went in with little expectation of actually liking it but found to my surprise that I did enjoy it and felt better. The problem was that the yoga studio offered an extremely limited class schedule and the instructor was not very good at guiding a new person through the postures. I found Yoga Bliss and decided to give them a try for my second class and I've been there ever since. I can't say enough about the instructors at Yoga Bliss- I have not had the chance to sample all of them but Stacey and Alisha are fantastic. You have been very patient with beginners such as myself and taken the time to explain the different postures while emphasizing the need to take things at our own pace. And I don't mean to imply that you only cater to beginners- there are plenty of very talented practitioners in the classes who are able to be challenged since you are able to address the needs of all in the class.
Since I have been taking classes at Yoga Bliss I have felt the changes in my body- I consider myself one of the most inflexible people I know due to years of running only and little by little I can feel my stretches lengthening. My back issues have been eliminated, my core has been strengthened, and I am running (on a reduced schedule by choice) pain free. I am positive that getting involved in yoga at Yoga Bliss is the main reason for all of this.
Anyone considering yoga should definitely give Yoga Bliss a try: the instructors are great, the facility is clean and comfortable, and the class schedule is accommodating. Yoga is a great way to get in shape and will surely take care of many of your aches and pains. And guys, if you think yoga is easy, take it from me: it isn't! But you'll get so many benefits out of it.

I had wanted to try practicing yoga for a couple years and finally did a few months ago...I searched the internet to find nearby studios to try and decided to start at yoga bliss...after my first class my search was over..the instructors and studio are so inviting and create a wonderful place to practice...the past several years of my life I have been faced with several extremely difficult challenges and it took quite a toll on me mentally and physically...since starting my yoga practice I feel like I have awakened...I am living my life with a much healthier balance and with an inner peace that i used to believe couldn't exist...being more centered and in tune with myself has enabled me to truly embrace being in the moment and enjoy all that life has to offer...heartfelt thanks to donna, barbara, and stacey for their wonderful energy and guidence in my practice and pushing me to the edge...

The past two years have been my hardest yet. I needed something new, something relaxing, and most of all something that I could enjoy doing; Something to look forward to. I have officially been practicing yoga @ Yoga Bliss for 4 months now and I can not imagine my life without it. With such stressful and hard weeks at work, I now have something to look forward to during the week where I am able to relax and release my stress in a positive, and beneficial way. The intro classes with Stacey were wonderful and pushed me just enough to begin taking Vinyasa classes which I was so scared to do, until Donna and Lauren taught me that I need to practice at my own pace, not pay attention to everyone else, and be comfortable with my practice/body. This has become a life lesson, not just a lesson in yoga. So I thank you all for being such amazing, patient, and tentative yoga instructors.

Stacey I wanted to take the time to say thank you so much for being such a great teacher! I have really enjoyed the past few years practicing yoga (I can’t believe it has actually been years….) with you. My father had passed away about 3 months before I attended my first class. It was the first time I had ever attempted yoga and quickly found that it was a great release for my stress and really helped “center” my mind which had obviously been cluttered by tons of thoughts and emotions. I have also really learned a lot about myself and am often surprised by how far I can push myself during class. It has made me realize that I am stronger (physically and mentally) than I ever thought and this has such a positive impact on my life. So thank you so much for this wonderful experience and for sharing your energy.

Hi Stacey,
I seem to always come to your website to check the class schedule but, I have never taken the time to tell you how much I not only enjoy yoga, but also your presence, and your beautiful tranquil studio! I will never forget when my mom asked me to do the "Intro To Yoga" class with her over a year ago...After some hesitation, I told her to "sign me up!!"...I did not know at that moment that yoga was going to change my life....From that first class, I loved it, and it was a journey that I was
proud to be on. I am a better person because of yoga, and I apply it to all obstacles in my life. It is also something special that I share with my mom. Most of all Stacey, thank you for always being so wonderful. You will always be so special to me. You taught me how to do yoga - something that I will take with me throughout my whole life. I am blessed to know someone as warm, compassionate, and inspiring as you!
Thank You!

Stacey,
You have created a wonderful space where yoga can be shared. Your energy and intention can be felt even down to the last detail (even the bathroom feels comfortable!). In this frenetic world, it is nice to know there is a place where people can come to just "be". Your teaching style is second
to none in the way you care and support all participants in your class. Whether a seasoned vet or yoga newby; your sentiment is clear...YOU CARE. I am blessed to be a part of such a beautiful intention and spirit.
Sincerely,
Maria |

Stacey I wanted to thank you again for thinking of me and sharing the reading from your book
“The Seven Spirit Laws of Yoga” By Deepak Chopra, which was very thoughtful and perfect timing.
In the last year since discovering yoga, meeting you and practicing on a regular basis I have learned a lot about myself and feel so much more connected to life.
You have contributed to that connection in a way that is very special to me.
I have been taking care of myself and working on living in the moment. I’m feeling good right now.

Stacey...do you have any idea of how special you are? If no one has told you lately, I want you to know that I could just squish you up in a big hug!!! You are just the whole package wrapped up in one sweet bundle!
Thank you for a really really great Yoga for Weight Loss class today. I am still flying high & smiling. I love the traditional classes with you, but this a totally great way to mix things up.
Thanks again...Love Ya...Tami |

Stacey, I have been taking yoga with you at Yoga Bliss since July of 2007 and I just wanted to let you know that you have a very distinctive style of teaching that really energizes me, and at the same time relaxes me. Its the way you talk through the poses, the music, even the way you are quiet that moves me -- sometimes to the point of tears, which in my mind is when I've truly opened up to the whole experience of practicing Power Vinyasa Yoga.
My husband Russ and I also enjoy and are totally enthusiastic about coming every Saturday to the Yoga for Weight Loss Class with Donna. What I really love is that he and I are doing it together, and he totally gets where I'm coming from when I explain how the practice makes me feel. He and I both love the energy that Donna brings to the class, and the workout we get is beyond any we could achieve on our own. Its such a hard, driving total body workout that totally wrings us out -- but always with a smile on our faces. And the best part -- the personal massage Donna gives us, scented in lavendar, at the end of each class. Wow!!! Who could ask for anything more?

What impressed me the most is my seven year old daughter. This summer she was on swim team for our beach club - we were at another club for a race - my daughter was up next to race in the freestyle event - when she was on the podeum waiting for her turn Stacey pointed out to me how she was using her breathing techniques she learned in yoga - she was really putting herself in a place she needed to be and she came in first place. My daughter has been doing yoga with Stacey since she was four years old and every year she learns more and more. I think this is so great for kids to start at an early age that is why my son (4) is doing yoga too. This is one activity my kids love to go to and I feel it is good for both their bodies and their minds. Thank you Stacey for your patience and guidance with my kids.

My daughter began taking yoga classes last year at the age of 9, in an effort to help her with her competitive swimming. Before starting yoga, she was not very flexible, and had trouble stretching out after swim practice. Since starting yoga, she has become much more flexible. Her swimming has improved significantly. More importantly, although she began yoga primarily to improve her performance in another sport, she has found that she really loves yoga as well, and is very proud of her accomplishments in class.

A friend of mine introduced me to Stacey's yoga for children class about a year ago. I was skeptical at first about yoga for kids, but I had my 6 year old daughter try it. She loved it and she has been going ever since! Then Stacey introduced the "little yogis" class for younger children. I have a 4 year old son, and was reluctant to sign him up for the class- opting to send him to basketball or gymnastics instead. He did not like the basketball class, and had no interest in gymnastics. I tried Stacey's “little yogi’s” class for him just to see how he would do- and he loved it! Now every morning he always asks - "Am I going to yoga today?" My daughter, who used to hate gym class because she was not very coordinated, said "Mom, I'm doing better in gym now and I think the yoga is helping me." So thank you, Stacey for providing something that is fun for my children, but that also helps them in other areas of their lives.

My daughter, Katie, has taken yoga lessons with Stacey for three years now and really enjoys it. Yoga provides her with stretching and relaxation exercises that help her de-stress and even prepare for other sports she does. She enjoys it so much she encouraged her best friend to join and now they practice together. And they both love Stacey because she makes it fun!

When I found Yoga Bliss and began my practice almost a year ago, I began a journey of personal growth. I would recommend to anyone that is looking to make some genuine positive changes for their health, mind and spirit to give themselves the gift of Yoga Bliss. The studio is so beautiful & tranquil, it is just the most special place.
Stacey is so amazing at what she does. She radiates goodness and is an inspiration to all of us. (I love Danielle too.) I will continue to be a "work in progress" as I enjoy growing in my practice.
Thank you, Stacey for sharing with us the Yoga Bliss studio and yourself. I feel truly blessed!

I have been practicing martial arts for years and nothing has advanced my skills more than Stacey's yoga. Just from the way she taught me how to breathe it increased my endurance beyond belief and I never again ran out of breath during a match. My body was strengthened in ways that no other type of workout could do and it drastically improved my balance and flexibility. Not only did it make me a more efficient fighter, but the quality of my health more than doubled. All of my muscular skeletal problems went away and I no longer need to go to a chiropractor or massage therapist anymore. I've tried other yoga classes and nothing gave me the same results that I got from Yoga Bliss. From my experience I can honestly say that Yoga Bliss is the best yoga studio anywhere.

Stacey has gone above and beyond in creating an amazing yoga environment at this studio. I had the pleasure of meeting her 4 years ago when she was my yoga instructor. Stacey was so inspiring in my practice that I knew I wanted to share her “yogi style” with the high school students that I worked with. Stacey went out of her way to share her practice with these students since she traveled quite a distance to do this. She definitely made a difference in my students’ lives by providing them with a life changing opportunity to learn and practice yoga.
I learned through my own practice and from her that you need to be “mindful of your own practice” and push your body enough to where you feel comfortable. She definitely is challenging in her teaching methods, although is gentle and kind, too!
My yoga classes have been put on hold, due to an extremely painful injury (no worries, not from yoga). I continue to try to utilize meditation and “cobra” poses to help me relax and refocus. I look forward to continuing my practice on the west coast. I know you can never find another instructor who is “Stacey” although I would be elated to find a yoga instructor who comes close seconds to her yoga practice!
Namaste,

You were the person that brought me to yoga. I have never experienced another instructor like you, nor have I experiecned another studio like yours. You bring such vitality and serenity all at the same time when you teach. I am always inspired and challanged! You have allowed me to build confidence in my practice. I only regret that the distance is so great or I would attend every week as I always did! Also your instrutors bring the same excellence to their practice that you do! Thank you for always enriching my life and making yoga fun and beautiful just like you! I have and will always send students to you!

We had a wonderful experience celebrating Grace's fifth birthday at Yoga Bliss ! She and her friends enjoyed the child friendly yoga practice as well as fun games. Stacey provided the perfect array of activities and kept the children busy and interested! Grace was very happy and her friends concluded that they all wanted "yoga parties" too!!! It is the ideal party for the parents as well since I could really watch the kids have fun and take some photos and video for important memories! This is a great party for your little yogi!

One concern I had moving down from New Hampshire 7 years ago was that I wouldn’t be able to find a yoga studio here in NJ that met my expectations. As a matter of fact for the first 3-4 years of being here I didn’t, although I tried quite a few. Thank you so much for providing the space and community I was looking for. My search was over after my first class with you! I like the fact that you mix it up and it never gets boring! Also, you attract a great mix of people as well, many there longer than me. On occasion, I’ve had a class or two with some of your other teachers, and especially like Abbey, Danielle and Samantha, all equally competent, inviting, friendly and encouraging.
Aum…..

I just wanted to let you know that there have been many changes in my life over the last year. One of the most exciting has been the decision to return to Ireland! After much thought and prayer, we realized that we really needed to be in the midst of family and re-prioritize how we spend our time. Once we get settled, on my list of things to do - is to find a yoga class! I loved the experience that you provided and know that finding a similar experience would be beneficial to my health - both of mind and body.
I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November and had surgery in December. Thank God it was an early stage so I did not have to have chemotherapy. I was blessed and have recovered very well. Facing something like that certainly puts your life in perspective. Throughout the entire time, I found myself falling back to yoga - the breathing to help me stay calm and not panic, the relaxation techniques to try and still my mind - couldn't have gotten through without it. So, I want to say thank you Stacey for helping me through and know that you will always be a part of my continued healing process.
I wish you and your family all the blessings life has to offer.
Thanks and best regards,
Angel |
